I. Geography:
 The
plains of Chung-cheng District, a strip region with many mountains,could
only be seen along the coast. This district, located in the east side
of Keeling harbor, faces the sea and situated behind mountains. The
peaks are green and the sea is melted into the sky. This spectacular
region adjoins Hsin-yi District in the east; and Jen-ai District,
in the south. The flat ground is the place where it is densely populated.
The west side of this region is a harbor district.
II. Area:
Totalizing 26 Lis, 516 Lins, and 13 communities are subordinated
to this district of 59,852 residents which covers an area of 10.2118
square kilometers.
III. Scenic Spots
The scenic spots of this district include Peace Island, Chientiehfu
Park, Haimen-Tienhsien, Padouzi Park, Keelung Islet, etc.
IV. Features:
This district is a part of Keelung City. The passenger transport
wharf of Keelung harbor, containers wharf, military wharf, Chengpin
Fishing Harbor, China Shipbuilding Corporation in Keelung, and Pisha
Fishing Harbor are all in this district.
It is not only the core of sea transportation, but also the fishery
center in the northern Taiwan,a shipbuilding center, and a specific
seafood center. As gluttons would crowd to this district in holidays
and jam the traffic, the mayor have more parking lots constructed
in the Lin/Li, and the image business circle in the Yierh Road schemed.
Cultural activities are also held for eliminating ill social practices.
Furthermore, the geographical environment of this district is quite
suitable for developing sea sightseeing and blue road. The abundance
of fish resources and the development of aquafarm and the processing
of agriculture/fish products are also the unique features of this
